Debbie Jones fell in love with Orlando when her father was stationed at the Orlando Naval Training Center in late 1983. She returned to Orlando in 1990 to attend the University of Central Florida to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. Debbie furthered her education by obtaining a Masters of Business Administration degree at the University of Central Florida. Early in her career, Debbie worked for a residential home builder and learned many aspects of the business including construction, new home sales, title work and mortgage loan origination. Debbie Jones decided to utilize her finance degree and chose a career in banking where she worked for SunTrust, BB&T and TD Bank. She worked in the commercial segment of banking in Real Estate Credit Administration and transitioned to the business development side. She was promoted to a team leader position and was later asked to become a Credit Officer. As a Credit Officer, Debbie was responsible for managing the Credit Department and approving loans for companies with revenues between $10M and $75M. Debbie Jones was relocated to Miami to become a senior level manager in Credit Management with teams in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Two years later, she was asked to move back to Central Florida to replicate the success she achieved in South Florida. After 20 years in the banking industry, Debbie took (what she aptly coined) a mid-career retirement. Being independent and free spirited, she embarked on a twenty-month international travel sabbatical where she visited every continent except Antarctica. After pursuing one of her passions, she is pursing her second passion as her career: real estate. Debbie Jones has been a homeowner in Orlando for more than 25 years and an investor in real estate since 2005. She not only has experience working with real estate agents from both a buyer’s and seller’s perspective, but she has purchased and property managed a wide variety of properties.
